Initial consultation

A brief, informal conversation to understand your research needs and make sure Daynamica can meet them. It’s free, and there’s no commitment.

Your team: Tell us who you want to study, what you want to measure, and roughly when.
Daynamica: Tell you honestly whether Daynamica fits, and what a protocol might look like.

You get: A clear answer on fit. If it helps, we can set up a free demonstration account so you can try the app, or run a small pilot with up to 5 participants.

Plan

Design and quote

Your team finalizes the study’s parameters and requests a quote.

Your team: Confirm the sample size, how long each participant collects data, and the overall length of the study.
Daynamica: Prepare a quote based on those parameters, any customization, and whether the study involves protected health information.

You get: A quote you can budget around.

If you’re applying for funding, we provide the quote and any additional materials your application needs.

Daynamica: Supply the quote, a letter of support if you need one, and other materials your application calls for.

You get: The Daynamica pieces of your proposal, ready to drop in.

Customization

If your study needs it, the app is customized to the specifications we agree on, such as surveys attached to particular kinds of episodes, or integration with a wearable sensor. Customizations that require substantial programming incur additional costs, which we’ll agree with you in advance.

Study setup

We set up the technical infrastructure for your study and provide training materials for your study managers.

Your team: Review the training materials with your study team before enrollment starts.
Daynamica: Set up the study’s technical infrastructure, including its Study Manager dashboard, and send training materials.

You get: A study ready to enroll participants, and a team ready to run it.

Run

Data collection

Participants use the Daynamica app as your study runs. Your study managers monitor data completeness and download data extracts whenever they need them, through the Study Manager dashboard.

Your team: Enroll participants, follow up on gaps the dashboard flags, and check criteria for compensation.

You get: Data you can check and work with while collection is still under way.

Close-out

Once data collection is complete, we provide all of the study’s data to your research team and delete it from Daynamica’s systems.

You get: The complete dataset, held only by your team.
