Daynamica stores study data securely while collection runs and gives your team the tools to manage it. When the study closes, we hand everything back to you and delete it from our servers. Our business is collecting and storing data for researchers, not keeping it.

Why this helps you recruit

Many people are wary of handing over a record of everywhere they go. Because Daynamica keeps no copy after your study closes, you can tell potential participants plainly that their location data goes only to your research team, which can make consent conversations easier and recruitment less of an uphill climb. Participants stay in control

Participants can pause data collection at any time from the app’s Settings menu, for an appointment, a private errand, or any reason at all, and turn it back on when they’re ready. They can also end data collection permanently. Both are covered for participants in the Participant FAQ.

Built for longitudinal studies

Studies with several waves of data collection don’t lose track of anyone between them. Each participant’s data stays linked across separate collection periods, even if they uninstall the app in between or switch to a new phone. They sign back in with the same user ID and their record continues.

Study management dashboard

Daynamica clients have access to a customizable data quality dashboard that allows project and study managers to track user participation, identify data collection issues early, and verify whether participants are meeting criteria for compensation. Access can be scoped by role — a study manager might see individual-level activity data to troubleshoot collection issues, while other staff see only summary-level completeness information.

While the study runs, the dashboard also provides a download interface to extract data for analysis. For projects collecting additional participant data in external systems (Qualtrics, REDCap), we can link those sources to Daynamica data to create unified exports.
